一年有許多日子, 平常日子裡
特別有這麼一天 有首歌跟著它
Martyn Bates 1987年, 跟隨首張個人'正式'專輯 The Return Of The Quiet
挑出發行 EP 的 The Look Of Love, 歌曲是 Burt Bacharach 舊作, 1967年由 Dusty Springfield 唱紅
但是讓我念念不忘, 不是 Martyn 在這首歌纏綿的音域
EP B面的 Adam & Eve & Pinch Me 和 May 3rd
每於讓我五月逢三, 想到這作品

當年知道有這發行物之後 嘗透過很多管道去尋找它
一無所獲
25年後, 網路世界載浮載沉
這兩支歌還是隱而不現;
歌名取自孩童遊戲的「亞當 夏娃 和捏我」, 是 Martyn 延續 Eyeless In Gaza 時期, 擅長鋪張抒情的意境; 「五月三號」則很通常, 僅是吉他彈唱。 從那一年一開始接觸到這首歌, 這個日子就被加註了印記, 而這張 Cherry Red 的發行物 編號是 CHERRY 99。

..你還有在聽 Martyn Bates 嗎? 他和 Peter Becker 的樂團: 加薩失明人 也不算解散, 陸續的相協有著新的作品.. 而你還有在聽一直有在出專輯的 The Durutti Column 嗎?

類似的情形, 在團名誤植自西班牙內戰期間, 宣揚無政府主義的作戰部隊, 隊長 Buenaventura Durruti ( 14 Jul. 1896– 20 Nov. 1936, killed when a companion's pistol went off by mistake) 姓氏, Vini Reilly 個人藝名的 Durutti 分隊 也是見到, 也逢 1987..

Factory 編號緊鄰 New Order: True Faith 單曲, Fac 184 的 EP: The City Of Our Lady, 讓我有時候回憶的, 倒不是裡面, 最廣為人知, 由 Debi Diamond主唱, 翻唱 1967年 Jefferson Airplane的歌曲: White Rabbit; 而是 B面歌 長度八分鐘的吉他演奏 Catos Con Guantes。 印象中 遊走在這首作品的絃撥音響 特別傳神

當年 收錄這些這些珠玉作品的再版物: Martyn Bates 的 「愛 的 凝 視」 EP 全球只找得到特好此道的日本, 於 1991年出版 「靜謐的回歸」專輯 CD加收歌。 「聖 母 之 城」EP 在 Durutti分隊 同年專輯 The Guitar And Other Machines 的 DAT 才有完整收錄! 1998年, Factory重發此團舊作 原本出版於 1985年 日本現場的專輯 Domo Arigato CD, 加收歌獨缺收錄 Catos Con Guantes!!

回答是'沒有'。 但舊專輯 總有想重聽的時候..

P.S. The Durutti Column 2010年, 出版紀念 Factory老闆 Tony Wilson ( Mr. Manchester, 20 Feb. 1950– 10 Aug. 2007. cancer) 過世的純音樂演奏專輯: A Paean To Wilson。 Durutti分隊 是 Factory第一支簽下的樂團, 一開始用意為 叛客punk組合,但 1980年首張專輯發行前,所有成員均已離開, 獨剩 Vini。「歡 讚 W i l s o n」特別構思純音樂元素, 懷念這位亡友。

搖滾元老團體 Jefferson Airplane 是美國本土裡 在迷幻狂漲的年代 唯一參予了 Monterey ( 1967), Woodstock ( 1969) 和 Altamont ( 1969), 三場音樂盛事的團體。
1967 年 Surrealistic Pillow 專輯 是 Grace Slick 入團後的第一張, 樂團的第二張作品。 當中的 White Rabbit 由 Grace 譜寫並擔任主唱 這支歌日後成了搖滾名曲 有許多樂手翻玩。

包括吉他演奏組合 The Durutti Column 1987 年邀 Debi Diamond 參與演唱的 EP: The City Of Our Lady ( Our Lady Of The Angels/ White Rabbit/ Catos Con Guantes )； 英國流行團 Bananarama 前團員 Siobhan Fahey 單飛後的組合 Shakespears Sister 2004 年精選集也有收錄。

__ P.S. Shakespears Sister 經典曲 Stay, 1992 年蟬連英國榜八周冠軍 是史上紀錄之一 也是女子組合的歷史紀錄 在美國榜最高第四名。 MTV 裡 短髮的是另一位(不定)團員 Marcella Detroit

小時候, 家長喜歡念「愛莉斯夢遊仙境」,
當孩子的床邊故事；
故事裡愛莉絲吞藥丸吃蘑菇, 致幻般自得其樂的改變自己大小, 家長卻同時期望孩子, 長大後遠離藥物. .

愛上某個樂團/藝人 日後對其作品失望的例子並不少見
Prefab Sprout 是少數 作品不會教人失望的團體
主唱 Paddy McAloon 那似乎澆不息的創作靈感 和唱故事的歌喉是保證; 雖然在樂迷心中 很難再有一張專輯 超越他們 1985 年的經典 Steve McQueen (Two Wheels Good)
但聽到視力受損的 Paddy McAloon 還在譜寫、還在製作、還在為人生中的故事發聲
還是教愛樂人心動
