Jack 活動時期 Anthony Reynolds 即以 Jacques 名義發表個人創作 至 Jack 解散 始以自己的名字發表作品。
Anthony 的身分 也是位作家。 2002 年 Les Disques du Crépuscule 出版他的詩詞集: These Roses Taste Like Ashes 。他也有出版 Jeff Buckley 和 Scott Walker 的專書。 前者為 1997 年在美國意外早逝的民謠歌手, 也是早逝的迷幻音樂詩人 Tim Buckley 的唯一孩子； 後者為 六、 七O 美國樂團 The Walker Brothers 的主唱, 2006 年最近的新作 The Drift 由 4AD 出版。

傾聽 Anthony 抒情兼備搖滾的唱聲, 動感中帶低沉, 慵懶時如耳濡細訴, 有吸引人處。 他的活動已不局限英國, 也在西班牙活動, 多和當地, 或義大利樂手合作。 也許遠在異地, 他能找到比家鄉時候, 更多彩的音樂天地。

當出生於美國 底特律 的唱作歌手 Sufjan Stevens, 言道構想為美國每一州 書寫一張專輯, 言下之意 是有五十張專輯將等在那!
至今他"偉大"的構想已有兩張成真, 一是 2003 年的 Michigan, 另一是 2005 年的 Illinois。

Sufjan 的說法, 多少僅為陳述所思； 而他的音樂, 不為歌頌國家的地大物博 或英雄主義, 在蘊含歷史背景故事的陳述裡, 反而多唱道 升斗小民 心聲的百態。 Michigan 一開始他為 unemployed 和 underpaid 而歌, 接著唱到 widows in paradise； Illinois 以 UFO 發想, 唱到七O 年代, 以同性青少年為對象的芝加哥連環殺手 John Wayne Gacy ( Mar. 17 1942– May 10 1994 ) 借他悲慘童年的背景心聲自擬； 他的代表曲 Chicago 也在這張專輯。

Sufjan 在他的彈唱中, 相伴 Banjo 琴明亮古樸的音色, 輔以喇叭淒迷的吹奏、絃樂襯底, 穿插音樂劇式的熱鬧編制, 他的每一首歌, 都是一紙滋味雜陳的短篇。 Illinois 在 N M E「近十年來一百張最棒專輯」榜, 難得的見到高踞 1 7 的名次。

── 當時 後叛客 的氣象是一新的。 一新的氣象放任一班樂手, 用青春的膽識為賭注, 在樂壇浪擲歲月。 誰也無法預料, 繼續後叛客蘊育的行止, 誰將成為新一代的發聲； 而他們用時間見證, 交出的成績, 時至現今, 他們是一廂樂迷心儀的表徵、一批新樂手靈感的源頭。 他們的知名度 : Joy Division 的低調樞紐, New Order 的電音貝斯, Echo and the Bunnymen 的多彩觀見, The Cure 的病厭呢喃, Depeche Mode 的電子情調, 他們成就自己的名字, 成了今日, 用來比擬"後輩"的 [ 標 籤 ]。

出道和同鄉的 Mogwai 及 Belle & Sebastian 同期, 在搖滾樂的代表性, 比不上前者； 受到的歡迎, 比不上後者, 但和前者合作頻繁, 和後者的巡迴, 造就出後者 1998 年的 The Boy with the Arab Strap 專輯名字 ( 但也由此有心結)。 兩位團員 Aidan Moffat ( 10 April 1973- ) 及 Malcolm Middleton ( 31 December 1973- ) 在 2006 年正式解散後, 解散前、後 兩人創作力不斷

在 2009 年, Aidan 又興起一個合作的名字: Aidan Moffat & the Best-Ofs, 推出 ' 如 何 從 蘇 格 蘭 上 天 堂 ' How To Get To Heaven From Scotland
