Theobroma L.: Greek θεος (theos), meaning "god", and βρῶμα (broma), meaning "food". It translates to "food of the gods."

Diospyros L.: Greek Dios and Pyros, means “divine fruit.” The literal meaning is closer to “Wheat of Zeus.” The word persimmon however is derived from the Powhatan language, and means “dry fruit.” link

Juglans L.: Latin jūglans, meaning 'walnut'; jūglans in turn is a contraction of Jōvis glans, 'nut of (the god) Jupiter'
